It’s Consolidation Week - a time to pause, catch up, reflect and plan.

Doctors are reporting a spike in cases of scabies so please do not ignore symptoms if you have an itchy rash. Scabies is spread through close skin contact and students can be more at risk as infectious illnesses spread easily in large communities. Scabies needs to be treated quickly. See NHS information on what a scabies rash looks like and what you can do to reduce the spread of infection.

We will be applying updates to our campus wifi service on Thursday (31 October). Wifi will still be available across campus during the upgrade process however there may be a brief interruption in some areas. Problems? Contact IT Services.

Essential repairs on Kimberlow Lane
|
Kimberlow Lane is currently temporarily closed for essential repairs. This is the road running between the Campus East Bus Interchange and York Sport Village. Buses U1 and U2 will continue to run to the Sport Village via a diversion.

Take time during Consolidation Week to find your way around our online Skills Guides. There’s videos, slides, and exercises on a range of academic skills topics. There’s also our Subject Guides where you’ll find resources specific to your subject. You could also book onto one of the online academic skills workshops or, for more personalised advice, book a one-to-one appointment with your Faculty Librarian or an academic skills adviser.
