Meningitis: know the symptoms
As many students return to campus after the Easter break, it’s important we remain alert to prevent the spread of infectious illnesses:
- Check your vaccinations are up to date - contact your doctor if you’re unsure
- Know the symptoms of infectious illnesses
- Act quickly if symptoms appear by phoning 999
Remember, if you feel unwell make sure you let someone know and, if a friend is unwell, check on them regularly.
Online security: beware phishing scams
We’ve seen a recent increase in phishing attempts where emails that impersonate senior University staff request recipient’s usernames and passwords. If you are unsure of any emails you receive, check with IT Services before opening it or entering your personal details.
We recently upgraded the security of our eduroam wifi service. Most users don’t need to take any action, but you can find out more about how the wifi upgrade will affect you on our website.
