UoY community update

Support for students affected by global crises

We recognise that global conflict can affect our students in many different ways and we have lots of people ready to help. If you have been affected by recent events, see our support for those affected by global crises.

Checking in with you

As we enter Week 4, if we have noticed your engagement with teaching activities is lower than we would expect, we may reach out this week via email to check everything is okay. There are lots of people who can help - please get in touch for support: student-hub@york.ac.uk

Celebrate Holi

Join our International Community team tomorrow (3 March) to celebrate Holi with an exciting afternoon of colour throwing, music, refreshments and festive cheer. Come dressed in white and get ready to be drenched in colour! Whether you come alone or in a group, it’s a great chance to meet new people and celebrate the end of winter.

1. Take control of your finances

It’s National Student Money Week and we have a range of events, competitions and giveaways to help you take control of your finances. From expert drop-in sessions to a clothes mending workshop, there are plenty of opportunities to explore.

This year, the team is raising specific awareness on how gambling and gaming can impact finances - from tips and tricks to help you stay on track, warning signs to look out for, and where to get support if you or a friend need help.
