Fees and accommodation payment reminder - due this Saturday 31 January

A quick reminder that if you pay your own tuition fees or accommodation costs, a payment instalment is due at the end of this month. The easiest way to pay is via the ‘My Finance’ section in e:vision. If you have set up a direct debit, this will be automatically taken around the due date.

Remember: We will never contact you and ask for your card details over the phone for payments. See our 7 tips for spotting a scam.

With one week left to go until the end of the assessment period, remember to check in with our 7 tips for study and exam success for help with revising more effectively and feeling less anxious about your studies.

Top tips for study and exam success

1. Welcome Back Week

Welcome Back Week returns next week to kick off Semester 2 - offering a chance to come together, learn new things and enjoy everything that campus has to offer before teaching starts.

This year, the Students’ Union will also be running a range of simultaneous ‘Wellness Week’ events to help you feel refreshed and ready for the new semester. Highlights across the week include Dog Petting, Beginner Friendly Yoga and the official Welcome Back Fair - your chance to discover new opportunities for the semester ahead!

2.  Today: Holocaust Memorial Day Lecture

In tonight’s Holocaust Memorial Day Lecture, Rachael Burns (Department of Sociology) will examine the architecture and landscape of Nazi concentration camps in Germany to discuss why so many felt able to deny the existence of the camps and the realities of the Holocaust.

Every year, Holocaust Memorial Day offers an opportunity for us to come together to consider how we can all make our society a better place - free from hatred, prejudice and discrimination.

3. Light Up the Night

Next Monday (3 February), we invite you to Light Up the Night in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. Starting at Greg’s Place, we’ll hold a (battery-powered) candlelit walk around campus, followed by a chance to find out about the work of our Sexual Violence Liaison Officers and other University and external support.
