Until September 2025, access to the Piazza Mailroom is via the external doors on the north side of the building, not through the Piazza reception. This is due to building works for the School of Architecture.

1. Sweet dreams are made of this: study success tip #6

As your deadlines get closer and closer, it may feel tempting to cut down on sleep to allow you to work for longer. However, research shows there are strong links between sleep, creativity and memory - try to aim for between seven to nine hours of sleep to give your brain a proper rest and allow you to learn more effectively.

Struggling to fall (or stay) asleep? We’ve gathered a list of our top tips to help you get a good night’s rest, as well as other research backed advice for study success. Whatever deadlines you’re preparing for, remember that looking after yourself remains top priority.

2. Explore years of hard work and research… in less than three minutes

Interested in where a Masters by research or PhD could take you? Explore a range of possibilities at this year’s Three Minute Thesis competition on Saturday 7 June. In a challenge against the clock, 12 talented postgraduate researchers will compete to convey the core questions - and impact - of their work in bite-sized, accessible talks. Cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award - register for your free Three Minute Thesis ticket.

3. Share your thoughts on new MyUoY features

MyUoY users: we need you! Help us improve the app by completing this short MyUoY app survey on two new features: the new Eat and Drink loyalty card and a new and improved Schedule (timetable).
